Varric - Daisy will you please stop cutting across alleys in Lowtown on your own at night?
Merrill- Nothing ever happens, I'm perfectly safe
Varric - and that nothing is costing me a fortune.
So, Varric is paying for Merrill to be followed and kept untroubled? This and a few more of their background conversations are making me ship.
The only thing I'm not sure about is the name of the site, which is where I'd like your advice! I'm considering ConsultingHistorian.co.uk but it doesn't feel quite right to me, so any suggestions would be fantastic.
Thank you, and hope you are all doing well.
Morose. I've just finished the Farseer books by Robin Hobb and they were excellent, but saddening.
In other news my http://asofterfinalfantasy.tumblr.com/ blog has started up again - I had lost my photoshop, which is why the huge hiatus, but I've downloaded a 30 day trial which I'll hold on to for as long as I can.
Here is one of my favourite I've made so far:
Well, he was a judge, right?
My second favourite must be posted also -
... I couldn't resist.
Hope all is well with everyone :)
Richard SikenYou saved my life he says I owe you everything.
You don’t, I say, you don’t owe me squat, let’s just get going, let’s just get gone, but he’s
keeps saying I owe you, says Your shoes are filling with your own damn blood,
you must want something, just tell me, and it’s yours.
But I can’t look at him, can hardly speak,
I took the bullet for all the wrong reasons, I’d just as soon kill you myself, I say.
You keep saying I owe you, I owe… but you say the same thing every time.
Let’s not talk about it, let’s just not talk.
Not because I don’t believe it, not because I want it any different, but I’m always saving
and you’re always owing and I’m tired of asking to settle the debt.
You never mean it anyway, not really, and it only makes me that much more ashamed.
There’s only one thing I want, don’t make me say it, just get me bandages, I’m bleeding,
I’m not just making conversation.
There’s smashed glass glittering everywhere like stars. It’s a Western, Henry,
it’s a downright shoot-em-up. We’ve made a graveyard out of the bone white afternoon.
It’s another wrong-man-dies scenario
and we keep doing it, Henry, keep saying until we get it right…
but we always win and we never quit, see, we’ve won again, here we are at the place
where I get to beg for it
where I get to say Please, for just one night, will you lay down next to me, we can leave our
clothes on, we can stay all buttoned up?
or will I say
Roll over and let me fuck you till you puke, Henry, you owe me this much, you can indulge me
this at least, can’t you? but we both know how it goes. I say I want you inside me
and you hold my head underwater, I say I want you inside me
and you split me open with a knife. I’m battling monsters, half-monkey, half-tarantula,
I’m pulling you out of the burning buildings and you say I’ll give you anything.
But you never come through.
Give me bullet power. Give me power over angels. Even when you’re standing up
you look like you’re lying down, but will you let me kiss your neck, baby? Do I have to
tie your arms down?
Do I have to stick my tongue in your mouth like the hand of a thief, like a burglary
like it’s just another petty theft? It makes me tired, Henry. Do you see what I mean?
Do you see what I’m getting at?
You swallowing matches and suddenly I’m yelling Strike me. Strike anywhere.
I swear, I end up feeling empty, like you’ve taken something out of me, and I have to search
my body for the scars, thinking
Did he find that one last tender place to sink his teeth in? I know you want me to say it, Henry,
it’s in the script, you want me to say Lie down on the bed, you’re all I ever wanted
and worth dying for too
but I think I’d rather keep the bullet this time. It’s mine, you can’t have it, see,
I’m not giving it up. This way you still owe me, and that’s
as good as anything.
You can’t get out of this one, Henry, you can’t get it out of me, and with this bullet
lodged in my chest, covered with your name, I will turn myself into a gun, because
it’s all I have,
because I’m hungry and hollow and just want something to call my own. I’ll be your
slaughterhouse, your killing floor, your morgue and final resting, walking around with this
bullet inside me
‘cause I couldn’t make you love me and I’m tired of pulling your teeth. Don’t you see, it’s like
I’ve swallowed your house keys, and it feels so natural, like the bullet was already there,
like it’s been waiting inside me the whole time.
Do you want it? Do you want anything I have? Will you throw me to the ground
like you mean it, reach inside and wrestle it out with your bare hands?
If you love me, Henry, you don’t love me in a way I understand.
Do you know how it ends? Do you feel lucky? Do you want to go home now?
There’s a bottle of whiskey in the trunk of the Chevy and a dead man at our feet
staring up at us like we’re something interesting.
This is where the evening splits in half, Henry, love or death. Grab an end, pull hard,
and make a wish.
And CISPA would provide a victory for content owners who were shell-shocked by the unprecedented outpouring of activism in opposition to SOPA and Internet censorship.
The House of Representatives is planning to take up CISPA later this month. Click here to ask your lawmakers to oppose it.
SOPA was pushed as a remedy to the supposed economic threat of online piracy -- but economic fear-mongering didn't quite do the trick.
So those concerned about copyright are engaging in sleight of hand, appending their legislation to a bill that most Americans will assume is about keeping them safe from bad guys.
This so-called cyber security bill aims to prevent theft of "government information" and "intellectual property" and could let ISPs block your access to websites -- or the whole Internet.
Don't let them push this back-door SOPA. Click here to demand that your lawmakers oppose CISPA.
CISPA also encourages companies to share information about you with the government and other corporations.
That data could then be used for just about anything -- from prosecuting crimes to ad placements.
And perhaps worst of all, CISPA supercedes all other online privacy protections.
Please click here to urge your lawmakers to oppose CISPA when it comes up for a vote this month.
Thanks for fighting for the Internet.
ACTA in a Nutshell –
What is ACTA? ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.
Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”
What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

Case two: Arsehole queen foot in mouth moment. Bantering with my housemate over something or t'other - Me: "Well I'm sorry I'm too incredible to understand this," Him: "Did your mother tell you that?" Me: "No, yours did (implied your mum sex joke) ...oh my God, I'm so sorry." His mother died last year from cancer. He was very good natured about it and told me his uni friends said it all the time, but I still feel really shitty about saying it. :/
Usually I'm somewhat better at watching what I say, just not today it seems.
Name two (or more) characters from any of my fandoms (please no crossovers for this, guys) and I'll tell you:
1. What they most commonly do during sex (if they are the sexing type)
2. Who has prettier (or just more attractive) hair
3. What they argue about most often
4. Who'd cope best if the other one died
5. The happiest plausible happily-ever-after I can think of for them
6. The most tragic possible ending for them
7. What I enjoy most about their dynamic
8. What I find difficult to write about them
(Note: If it's a pairing I can't make work for this, I might ask you for another pairing, but I'm a pretty liberal shipper, so, feel free to go crazy!)
2) Give me an AU setting.
3) I will write you a three-sentence fic.
Ran out of my room at half five in the mormning in hysterical tears. Now I am not usually that much of an overly emotional person. But FFFFFFFF. I woke up, hearing a scratching noise in my room. I thought it was my dog. Looked doen at the floor (I have a bunk bed for space) door closed, no dog. Got creeped out, thought there were rats in my room, so I get down the ladder with my phone light on. Nothing. I turn around and there is a spider the size of my palm with legs thicker than matchsticks on the wall NEXT TO MY BED WHERE I HAD JUST BEEN. It was so big it made scratching noises as it scuttled. Burst out of my room in tears, scaring the daylights out of my dad who was up for work.
Hate spiders. Urggghh.
also, I sense I will be teased about this until I go back to uni. Also, also, may sleep in the spare room.
